iceberg-configure-target

Some setup is required before you can complete this wizard step: see Initial setup for Iceberg in Google Cloud.

  • Data Lake Type: Leave set to GCS (the only type supported in this release).

  • Data Lake Connection Profile Name: Select the GCS connection profile for your Iceberg instance.

  • Iceberg Tables Location: See discussion in Iceberg Writer properties.

  • Compute Type: Leave set to Google Dataproc (the only type supported in this release).

  • Compute Connection Profile Name: Select the Google Dataproc connection profile for your Iceberg instance.

  • Catalog Type: Select the catalog type you are using for Iceberg (see Configure the Iceberg catalog).

  • Catalog Connection Profile Name (does not appear if Catalog Type is Hadoop): Select the connection profile you created for your Iceberg catalog (see Configure the Iceberg catalog).

  • External Staging Type: Leave set to GCS (the only type supported in this release).

  • External Staging Location: See discussion in Iceberg Writer properties.

  • External Stage Connection Profile Name: Leave blank if the External Staging Location folder is in the same project as the data lake folder. Otherwise, see Initial setup for Iceberg in Google Cloud).

  • How would you like to write continuous changes to Icreberg? See Choose which writing mode to use for discussion of Merge mode versus Append Only mode.

    • Choose Write continuous changes directly to use Merge mode.

    • Choose Write continuous changes as audit records to use Append Only mode.
